Wholesome Food

The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground. He breathed into man’s nostrils and he became a living soul. Man is made up of three parts. A spirit which is the inner life, a soul which is a faculty of collecting, storing, interpreting information and making decisions and a body to contain the spirit and the soul and be in contact with the outside physical world in which we live in. Each of these parts though having distinct and separate functions, work together as a whole just like the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit. They are three yet they are one.
Each part of man must be care for and be nurtured. The body needs food from the earth from which it came. Good nutritious food to keep it healthy and strong. The soul where the mind is located needs intellectual nourishment. Without intellectual food one is not able to do much in this world for the society. The spirit is the real you, it is hidden from natural sight and it also requires food. Its food is spiritual nourishment from God. Its for this that Jesus when he was tempted he said that “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. Math 4.4. He was saying that physical nourishment is only part of what man needs to function in this earth. Man also needs Gods word to feed his spirit man. A profound truth is stated here that man was not designed or manufactured to live apart from his creator,God. Jesus said, “ give us this day our daily bread.”
The word of God is the nourishment of the spirit man. We are incomplete and malnourished if we do not feed on the word of God. Make effort to always take the daily bread that is given freely by our God the creator. To be complete and balanced we need to feed our body with physical food, our soul with intellectual food and our spirit with spiritual food.
