Torn Veil

We are washed by the blood of Jesus Christ, filed with his Holy Spirit and clothed with his righteousness. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins the veil that separated us with the Lord’s holy presence was torn in the middle from top to bottom into two pieces. A new and living way to God’s holy presence was opened. Today we can enter boldly to the holy of hollies with no fear or apprehension because we are not standing in our own holiness but in Christ’s. God’s love is manifested in his sending of his only begotten son to come and die for our sake.
Before Jesus came and died on the cross, the old covenant was in effect. The High priest used to get into the Holy of hollies once a year to offer sacrifice for the atonement of peoples sins. Animals were sacrificed to cover the sins of the people and only the high priest could access the holy of hollies. Jesus came and he himself was sacrificed once and for all for our sins. Since his death and resurrection on the cross we have direct access to the presence of God as the veil which separated us with God was torn. It is only through Jesus that we restore our relationship with our God. Accepting him and believing in Jesus is the only wayNCW4P 047

  1. Behold I stand at the Door and Knock whoever opens for me I will enter and dine with him Revelation 3:20. Its our hearts he knocks and there is no knob for him to force open. You have to respond and open for him

  2. Yes indeed our part is to be keen to listen and understand the knock amidst the busyness of this world and the conflicts arising from the world, our flesh and the evil competing for our attention.
