The Red Light

Since the beginning of creation at the Garden of Eden, our God has always been with us in his presence. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. After their sin Adam and Eve felt guilty and embarrassed and attempted to hide. They had everything in the garden for themselves and could enjoy all except the fruits of one tree only. The chose to disobey God and they were guilty. Guilt is a warning sign, a red light on the dashboard that God placed in us to ring a bell when we do wrong. Often however instead of eradicating the wrong done we usually suppress the quilt consciousness. We should be glad that we have these guilty feelings so that we become aware of our sins. The awareness should lead us to ask for forgiveness from God and undertake a correction for the wrongdoing. On the contrary our signal has already been diluted by constant bombardment with poor signals through advertisements and exposure to wrong standards. We are therefore more tolerant to wrong lifestyles and therefore prone to sins. We have to focus on the lord and his ways in order to walk in the right path. In the book of Isaiah 55:6-11, we read Seek the Lord while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby! The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the Lord, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them. “Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds, for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans. The rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return, but instead water the earth and make it produce and yield crops, and provide seed for the planter and food for those who must eat. In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.
Our Loving God does not move away from us but on the contrary we often move far from him or erect barriers between ourselves and our God. Seek him while he is near and not after you have drifted far away from him. We should also avoid trying to fit God into our plans. He is far mighty and wise and we can never contain him into our molds, we should strive to fit into his plans.

    • Yes a fuse in an electric system is for protection but some of us bypass the fuse and end up damaging major components of an equipment. Use the owners Mannual (Bible) to operate
