Marriage

017It is not good for man to be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him…… This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man. God’s creative work was not complete until he created woman. Although he made man from the dust he chose to make the woman from the flesh and bone. In so doing he illustrated for us that in marriage man and woman symbolically become one flesh. It’s a union of their hearts and their lives. The goal in marriage is more that friendship it is oneness.
Marriage is a gift from God a woman and a man are created perfectly for each other. The Man gives life to the woman and the woman gives life to the world. The union is not just for convenience and neither is brought about by any culture. It was instituted by God with three basic aspects.
1. Man leaves is parents and in a public act promises himself to this wife.
2. The Man and woman are joined together by taking responsibility for each other’s welfare and by loving the mate above all others.
3. The two become one flesh in the intimacy and commitment of sexual union that is reserved for marriage.
The essence of man and woman leaving their parents signifies the shift of loyalty which from birth to until before marriage is always expected to be on their parents but now it is to their mates. Often this bring problems when the couple is unable to break the strong ties with their parent. For any marriage to be successful the total loyalty must be to each other.
Being Joined together means to be committed to each other the magic words I DO which are recited during the official marriage ceremony are essential as a promise to keep the commitments.
From the very beginning of creation, the home has been under attack. Satan attacked the home by tempting Adam and Eve in the garden. He attacks the home because it destroys the image of God, and therefore, our societies become farther and farther away from God, as the family decays and erodes. The family is the foundation of society, and therefore when the home falls, the church falls, and when the church falls, the nation falls. Guard your marriages against the attacks of the evil one.
Christ came to reestablish biblical manhood and biblical womanhood. When sin perverted the husband-and-wife relationship, the husbands became either domineering or passive and the wife either became manipulative or a doormat. This was never God’s plan, and therefore, Christ came to demonstrate what the marriage should look like. He demonstrates this clearly in his relationship with the church, who is his bride. Ephesians 5:22–26, reads
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.
When we see the gospel, we see what marriage should be. Instead of the husband being lethargic while Satan leads the wife into sin, he is active. He is so active that he gives his life for his wife. He serves her by washing her with the Word of God, teaching her Scripture, leading her in holiness. He makes her beautiful. And the wife submits to him as the church should submit to Christ in everything, unless her submission would cause her to disobey God.
When the world looks at the Christian marriage, they should see the gospel. The wife submits to the husband as the church submits to Christ. The husband, instead of being lethargic or oppressive, he actively caters to the spiritual needs of his wife. When the Christian home operates like this, people see the beauty of the gospel. When the home is in disorder, it mars the gospel and it mars the image of God. It draws people away from God. It draws children away from God because it distorts God’s original plan.
When Eve sinned, Adam was supposed to be like Christ and die in her place. Where the first Adam failed, the second Adam, Christ, succeeds. He shows us what biblical manhood is, as he dies for his bride, the church, and purifies her through the Word. Christ came to fix broken marriages and bring them back into the original order of the Godhead.
Have a blessed marriage

      • Hello Millie, sorry that is not true

The dragon, the devil, satan that is written about in Revelation 12 is not a fallen angel, the dragon is Rome

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another sign in heaven: & behold a great red dragon, having 7 heads & 10 horns & 7 diadems on his heads

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The dragon is Rome, those who were in power who were not of God were cast out of heaven, the ungodly rulers fell from power, that is the meaning of “heaven” in Rev 12:7-8, just as it is the meaning of “heaven” in Isaiah 14:12, in reference to the man (Isaiah 14:16) named Lucifer who fell from heaven (power).

The Greek word “oikoumene” for the words “whole world” in Rev 12:9 are in reference to the “Roman world”, not the whole planet.

      • In order to understand Revelation chapter 12, one must first read Revelation chapter 1, the first chapter makes it very clear that everything in Revelation was to happen quickly

Everything in Revelation happened after Yeshua the Messiah was resurrected, that means that Revelation 12 is not about before the creation of man, the woman in Revelation 12 is not Mary, the child is not the Messiah & the dragon also known as the devil is not a fallen angel

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah, which God gave to him, to show unto his servants things which must quickly come to pass

      • The truth is Revelation was written to 7 churches in Asia & no one else, Revelation isn’t about our time period, the number of the beast & everything else in Revelation happened during the time that the 7 churches in Asia were alive

Rev 1:4 John to the 7 churches that are in Asia

Rev 1:11 write in a book what you see & send it to the 7 churches

Rev 22:10 don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book for the time is near

Rev 22:18 if anyone adds to the words of this book, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book
